Gill, a Perthshire based jewellery maker, describes her journey to becoming a full time designer and maker as quite accidental.
After searching without success to find a special piece of jewellery for her wedding day, Gill decided to create her own. Following a visit to a bead shop for supplies and advice, Gill was delighted with how well her finished piece looked and was then hooked!
Encouraged by commissions from friends and family, Gill went on to develop her very popular knitted wirework range of collars, cuffs and matching ear rings.
Gill’s knitted wirework pieces are hand made using a combination of carefully chosen freshwater pearls and semi precious stones to create unique and individual items which are very easy to wear.
These pieces take on the heat of the body and follow the contours of the neckline or wrist to sit perfectly whilst being lightweight and comfortable. The jewellery wires used are silver or gold plated over a copper base and are anti tarnish and hypo allergenic.
